Jonathan M. Parisi

Attorney

 

Jonathan joined Spangler Estate Planning as an Attorney in January 2020. He graduated magna cum laude and holds his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Law from Western Carolina University and his law degree and Master of Business Administration degree from Elon University.

 

Jonathan concentrates his practice on estate planning and estate administration in all 100 counties of North Carolina, and particularly enjoys navigating clients through the potentially rigorous and challenging stages of probate.  With a heavy business and finance background, Jonathan not only counsels and advises his clients as to the legal implications, but also the transactional and financial implications of their business and estate planning decisions.

 

With prior legal experience in law firm, clinic, and in-house settings, Jonathan can analyze legal issues through several different lenses and tailor his approach to best serve his clients’ specific needs. Jonathan is licensed in both the state and federal courts of North Carolina.

 

In his spare time, Jonathan is an avid runner and was a participant of the 2020 Boston Marathon.

 

Kati Ryan

Legal Assistant

 

Kati Ryan is the Legal Assistant for Spangler Estate Planning. She has 4 years legal experience and is particularly skilled in drafting personalized estate plans and complex trust documents fit for any set of circumstances.  In her free time, Kati enjoys spending time with her family and dog, reading, going to the lake, and gardening.

Bonnie Baker-Day

Paralegal

 

Bonnie Baker-Day is our newest team member at Spangler Estate Planning.  She is a seasoned paralegal with approximately 25 years of experience across North Carolina and Virginia.  She attended Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia.  Throughout her career, she has benefited from working in multiple practice areas and loves the opportunity to help others.  In her spare time, she thrives on time spent with her nephews and niece.  She presently lives in Rockingham County, North Carolina, with her husband and 2 crazy cats, Tuggy and Scrubby.

David Spangler has enjoyed helping clients through his practice of law in North Carolina since 1977. He grew up in Greensboro with his parents, a brother, and three sisters. He went to college at UNC-Chapel Hill. After graduating in 1973, he was a ski bum in Colorado for a year, then attended Stetson College of Law in Florida to obtain his law degree and eventually move back to Greensboro.

 

David married Carly in 1986, and they have been very happy together, being blessed with exceptional health. They had a son, Matt, now in his 30s who is also happily married. David and Carly have lived in and raised Matt from the same home in Greensboro that David’s parents lived in until his father retired in 1984.

 

The entire family enjoys traveling and visiting with family and friends. Carly is retired and finds passion in gardening, yard work, and pottery. When he’s not putting in hours at the office, David especially loves golfing, boating, watching sports, and exercising.
